Happy Thursday, Wanderers!
One of my biggest goals for 2020 was to read more. How’s it going you may ask? Lol two words, grad school. I had this great idea that I would read one book a month this year, but sadly I just started on my first book of the year. #ThanksCorona
Sidebar: As much as I miss being busy-hanging out with my friends, traveling, you know all the things…I am grateful for some much needed time to just stop. There are things that have been on my to-do list for months that I’ve been begging for time to complete, like reading, and I now have the chance to do them. Bless!
What’s one thing you’ve been able to complete since we’ve been in quarantine? Comment down below and let me know!
Okay, back to the post…
When I was younger I used to stay with a book, but ever since undergrad and now grad school it is hard to find time to read things outside of journal articles and textbooks. I know reading is something I definitely want to pick back up especially once I graduate so I thought it would be a good idea to start getting back in the swing of it now.

I want to ensure this goal doesn’t go unmet this year so my solution is…drum roll please…AUDIOBOOKS. I recently started my first audiobook and y’all it’s been a #gamechanger! I couldn’t imagine sitting down on my couch for two hours without dozing off just nose deep into a book but hey, this is my life now.
Disclaimer: I don’t think I could just listen to a book without getting distracted so for now I am still buying the books and following along with the audio. Is that weird lol?
If you’re trying to get back into reading and you have an Amazon Prime account, I would highly suggest trying out Audible. With your Prime membership, you get a free 30-day trial AND your first two audiobooks FREE.
