Are we still shopping right now or did we officially put that on hold?
Y’all.
I gave up shopping for Lent and I almost lost my mind. First off, yes, we can address it. I know it was absolutely insane for me to give up the one thing I love the most, but I really wanted to challenge myself this year.
To be completely transparent, I have to buy myself clothes or heels at least 1-2x a week. No this is not an exaggeration, so I think you can imagine how hard this was for me.
However, since Lent has ended, I’ve been *adding to cart* *proceeding to checkout* like no one’s business. In my defense, one, the sales have been really good. #ThanksBigRona Two, I literally spend my days in the house and I can only window browse for so long before I have to give-in.
Sidebar: If you aren’t using Shoptagr, then you’re seriously missing out on a gem. And before you ask, no, this post isn’t sponsored, I am just obsessed with this app. View my previous blog post on the app here.
Shoptagr was my saving grace during Lent. It allows me to save all of the items I am currently thinking about buying into one area. But that’s not the best part about it. It alerts me when the items go on sale and get this, also when they come back in stock.
There’s no more going back time after time to check to see if the item has been restocked or waiting for that email to come in. Shoptagr is your one-stop-shop. Oh, and it’s completely free. I literally cannot make this up; it’s that great. Try it out and thank me later.
Okay, back to the topic at hand…

My go-to transition outfit this season is….you probably guessed it already, SKIRTS. I am LOVING and here for all things skirts. Whenever I am shopping at ASOS or Nasty Gal (my two favorite stores currently), I always make sure to browse through their skirts.

I have been loving these two skirts lately.
My goal this season is to try some really fun and different prints this season. I typically play it safe very neutral and simple pieces but I think it’s time to switch up the game a little.
Printed skirts have the way of giving the simplest outfit a little pop! As you can see, I paired these two skirts with very basic pieces, but the print gives it the flavor they were missing. I love how free I feel with a skirt; they are super breathable. But the best thing about them is, they are perfect for any and every occasion! From brunch to drinks with the girls, maybe even date night or running errands, and lastly maybe even a quick trip to the mall. I am obsessed with them!
This one I found at NastyGal.

While I found this one at ASOS.

They both were really fun to style. I had fun mixing them up with heels and sneakers.

Sidebar: I will say I wish I was more of a sneakerhead. I have been such a heels person for so long that when I wanted to pull out a pair of sneakers for this look, my options were very slim and honestly not that great.

This summer I’m challenging myself to purchase a few pairs of sneakers. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Ya girl is v. lost in the sauce right now lol.
What is your go-to winter to spring transition piece? Is it a skirt or maybe a timeless leather jacket? Let me know down below so I can add it to my cart for my post-Lent spree lol.
xoxo,
