Happy Friday Wanderers!
Guess what. It’s finally Fall!
Well actually it’s been Fall for a minute but the weather is finally cooperating (BLESS!).
Fun Fact: Fall is my favorite season. Fall means football & tailgates, homecomings, fairs, the leaves change colors, and of course holiday season. It’s just a happy time. But the thing I love most about fall is the drop in temperature, it’s just something about that cold weather. And cold weather means one thing, it’s time to update my closet. (yasssss!) I LIVE for fall fashion. I love to see the new trends and creative ways to layer pieces. Sweaters, scarves, hats, jackets, uhhh I love it. Fall (& Winter) produce the best styles IMO. Here are a few looks I’m currently obsessed over:

Cute right? Oh and because I love yall so much I decided to share some essential pieces you need in your closet this season. And yes, I would also use these pieces to get me through the winter too. Remember it’s all about layering, save those coins sis.
Tops
- Oversized Sweaters
That is all. Nothing else needs to be said. I live for a good oversized sweater. They are comfortable and go with anything. You can wear them with jeans or you can wear them with leggings. They are the perfect layering piece for this season. Below are some of my favorite looks. A few of my favorite places to get oversized sweaters are Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, and H&M. Wait, is H&M still canceled? Okay, well add MissGuided to that list too.
Noisy May Deep V-Neck Oversize Sweater (ASOS – $35)
Ribbed Chenille Dolman Sweater (Forever 21 – $35)
Mustard Bobble Sleeve Chunky Cardigan (Missguided – $67)
Bottoms
Looking to switch it up from the occasional jeans? Recently I’ve been living for ankle pants and leather skirts. You can easily piece a basic cami with a pair of plaid ankle pants and a leather jacket to make an effortless outfit for work, happy hour, or both. And that leather skirt girl…got a night out coming up? Piece that with a lace bodysuit and some booties #issalook.
Ankle pants
Deal Alert: Shopping on a budget? Go to your local TJ Maxx and look in their pants sections for plaid/patterned pants for less. This weekend I stumbled in mine and left with two pairs pricing about $17 each.
White Snakeskin Faux Leather Skinny Trouser (PrettyLittleThing – $28)
Red Plaid Tapered Plants (MissGuided – $52)
White Pinstripe Paperbag Skinny Pants (PrettyLittleThing – $25)
Skirts
Simply Exquisite Faux Leather Skirt – Black (Fashion Nova – $17.99)
Luisa Black Faux Leather Wrap Mini Skirt (PrettyLittleThing – $25)
Ruffled Faux Leather Mermaid Skirt (Forever21 – $48)
Jackets
A nice jacket/coat can take a basic outfit from 0 to 100 real quick. Get you one sis (or two or three).
Leather
(Minus The) Leather Quilted Moto Jacket (Express – $88.80)
Deal Alert: TJ Maxx almost always has leather jackets in stock this time of year. Stop by there first to see if you can find one for a good deal.
Tip: I’ve gotten two of my favorite leather jackets from Forever21 for $20, one is olive green (obsessed!). Check Forever21 for jackets at discounted prices. I have a hard time keeping up with their sales but check frequently and go in their store, their website can be overwhelming with all the options.
Teddy
ASOS DESIGN Teddy Coat (ASOS – $127)
UO Cropped Teddy Jacket (Urban Outfitters – $89)
Black Chunky Borg Teddy Coat (Missguided – $97)
Tailored Coat
New Look Tailored Coat (ASOS – $56)
Booties & Boots
Last but not least…shoes. No look is complete without some bad shoes to compliment it. In the fall I like to keep it simple, I always gravitate towards some form of bootie or boot. It could be a pair of Uggs, Chelsea boots, or the infamous thigh-high platform boots. Here a few of my favorite styles this season…
Aurella – Aldo (Aldo – $100.00)
Midnight Lover Boot (Fashion Nova – $37.99)
Extravagance – Taupe (Miss Lola – $45.99)
Haute Grounds – Black PU (Miss Lola – $34.99)
Madison Avenue – White (Miss Lola – $40.99)
Flossy – Black (Miss Lola – $52.99)
Seductress – Grey Snake (Miss Lola – $55.99)
What are your go-to pieces this season? What’s on your closet wish list? Be on the lookout for a style diary dropping soon. Until next time! && Happy Shopping!
Although cold weather is not my favorite, I have to admit I love layering during the fall and winter. Great suggestions on the various looks!
