What’s on my Christmas Playlist?

Is it really Christmas time without a bomb playlist to fill your days?

To help us get into the holiday spirit, I decided to share my 10 Christmas playlist essentials. It features everything from the age-old classics we grew up off of to some newer renditions of those same classic songs.

  1. All I Want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey (I placed it at number one for a reason, don’t debate me)
  2. This Christmas – Donny Hathaway (Chris Brown’s one is nice too)
  3. Someday at Christ – Mario
  4. Sleigh Ride – TLC
  5. Let It Snow – Boyz II Men
  6. What Christmas Means to Me – Stevie Wonder (Fantasia did a bomb cover of this song too)
  7. The Christmas Song – Nat “King” Cole
  8. Silent Night – The Temptations
  9. Jingle Bells – Michael Buble
  10. Merry Christmas, Baby – Otis Redding

Honorable Mentions (you know I just couldn’t pick 10):

  1. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays – *NSYNC
  2. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Uncle Lu (aka Luther Vandross)
  3. Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas – Carla Thomas

And because it is the season of giving, I decided to create an iTunes playlist for you containing each of these songs (plus a few more). This playlist will get you through your drive to work, an office Christmas party, or some Christmas Eve karaoke with your family. It’s multifunctional and has something for everyone.

Comment down below some of your favorite holiday tracks! If it’s not already on there, I will be sure to add it to the playlist. Enjoy!

Forming and Wandering,

  1. Great playlist! Thanks for sharing. You included some of my absolute favorites, but I also like some songs from Kirk Franklin’s Christmas Album:
Now Behold the Lamb, Go Tell It on the Mountain, and Jesus Is the Reason for the Season. One other favorite is Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child. There are many renditions, but I especially like Mariah Carey’s version.
